Having looked at a number of other examples on the internet, I decided to attempt my own. These cinemagraphs concentrate on accentuating the uncanny aspect of the repetitive loop. These cinemagraphs suffer bad looping as I focused more on the aesthetic and contextual rather than the technical aspects.
Splendid! So is "cinemagraph" a term for a fancy animated giff? I have so many sequences of images using rapid image capture (on my sub-DSLR cameras) that one day I will make a film with, perhaps incorporating hand drawn animation...and making music for it too of course.
